Associate manager, Systems Engineering & Algorithms

Integra LifeSciences seeks an Associate Manager to lead a systems engineering team responsible for algorithm development, system modeling, and hardware-software integration across the medical device product lifecycle. The role combines technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment between requirements, design, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Lead systems and hardware requirements definition, development, and traceability throughout product lifecycle
Establish algorithm development methodologies and oversee verification, validation, and performance characterization
Lead system modeling and simulation activities to support design decisions and architecture trade-offs
Define hardware-software integration strategies and manage integration planning and issue resolution
Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of Systems Engineers as Agile Product Owner

Requirements

Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science
8+ years experience as Systems, Integration, Hardware, Software, Mechanical, or Biomedical engineer
3+ years systems engineering experience in medical device companies
Experience developing signal-processing, control, imaging, or optimization algorithms
Strong knowledge of IEC 62304, IEC 60601, ISO 14971, and design controls
Proficiency with modeling, simulation environments, and requirements management tools
Experience in Agile product development and translating clinical needs into quantitative requirements
