Position Function:

The HR Specialist – Talent Acquisition will support the HR Supervisor – Talent Acquisition with recruitment, pre-employment, and onboarding duties. Responsible for administering, and tracking, the pre-employment process for all agency applicants. Responsible for the administration of system onboarding for all new hires. Responsible for attending all recruiting fairs for the OCOK Northeast region. Responsible for coordinating prescreening and scheduling interviews for OCOK’s Northeast region. The job requires sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

Working Conditions:

Sitting long periods of time at computer, receive and return phone calls. Occasional travel to recruiting events.

Exposure to Confidential Information:

Maintain confidentiality, and follow policies related to personnel.

Key Expectations/Responsibilities:

Recruitment:

• Responsible for attending all recruiting and hiring fairs for the OCOK Northeast (3E) Region (Collin, Grayson, Fannin, Hunt, Rockwall, Ellis, Kaufman and Navarro Counties).
• Responsible for prescreening candidates with OCOK’s Northeast (3E) vacancies.
• Responsible for scheduling interviews with candidates for the OCOK Northeast (3e) region.
• Responsible for all entering, monitoring, and filing of employees’ pre-employment screenings:

1. MVR
2. CareNow Screenings
3. References
4. Verification of Employment
5. Proof of Education and Certification
6. All Onboarding Documentation

Human Resource Function:

• Provide clerical and administrative support the Human Resource Department
• Maintain current employment records for all active staff’s personnel files
• Support audits, monitoring and accreditation processes
• Manage the system onboarding of new hires
• Reconcile invoices
• Special projects as needed

Requirements:

Education: High School diploma required.

Experience : One-year experience in general Human Resources. Experience with HRIS/ATS required. Experience in recruiting is preferred. Microsoft Office experience required. Proficient in Excel.

Functional: Must be able to handle multiple tasks, detail-oriented, able to work independently. Must demonstrate excellent customer services skills. Strong oral and written communication skills.
