Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.
• Prepare specimens accurately for laboratory testing and ensure proper labeling and documentation.

• Maintain accurate records of all specimens and patient interactions.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail in all duties.
• Perform duties independently while adhering to established practices and internal standards.
• Assist with other clinical or administrative tasks as needed based on staffing requirements.

Required Skills

• Strong phlebotomy skills with experience collecting samples from pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry to maintain accurate records.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, with rotational Saturdays, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate staffing needs.
