Job Description

ZT Group Int'l, Inc. d/b/a ZT Systems seeks a Staff Quality Assurance Engineer in Secaucus, NJ.

Duties:

• Provide oversight and guidance in manufacturing operations to meet product engineering specs.

• Coach manufacturing personnel on proper compliance and empower them to identify and escalate quality defects related to functional and cosmetic specs.

• Play a part in the design of our products and also ensure that our process is as efficient as possible.

• Participate in new product design reviews through the development stage; document key design changes to ensure successful manufacturing implementation.

• Collaborate with the Primary engineering owner for all Design for Manufacturing (DFM) engineering reviews.

• Conduct Golden server sample review and Bill of Materials (BOM) verification.

• Create work instructions and deliver regular training to the production team.

• Review and approve manufacturing-related documentation including server assembly manuals, etc.

• Leveraging your manufacturing engineering know-how, develop and implement manufacturing test engineering plans.

• In collaboration with other functions, deliver the design of fixtures, tooling, and test equipment for manufacturing.

• Lead LEAN initiatives and engage Six Sigma tools for process improvements.

• Establish Assembly line Yield targets, measure, and track Line improvements.

• Drive Assembly line Investigations, related to Internal Audits, Customer Audits, and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) audits.

• Lead the Quality Control (QC) Test and Repair engineering teams in finding the Root cause for systemic repeat test failure.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management or related fields, plus 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or related engineering/technical roles.

Must have 5 years of experience with the following:

• Quality audit techniques including ISO 9001 and Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) Inspection Sampling;

• Team building and working with cross-functional teams to get results;

• Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Outlook;

• Managing multiple large-scale process improvement projects or assembly line quality Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations 8 Disciplines (an RCCA problem solving

methodology) simultaneously with measurable results;

• Utilizing quality engineering tools including Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Design of Experiments (DOE) in a high-mix, medium-volume manufacturing setting to proactively

identify and address potential quality issues;

• Data visualization and presentation skills, including the ability to simplify results and statistical concepts into simple and actionable insights for management-level decision-making.

As an alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management or related fields, plus 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or related engineering/technical roles.

Must have 3 years of experience with the following:
