Title Production Officer
This is an In Person full-time position.
Typical responsibilities include:
Title Examination & Research-Review public land records, deeds, mortgages, judgments, tax records, and liens.
-Conduct title searches to determine property ownership history.
-Identify title defects, encumbrances, easements, restrictions, or outstanding liens.
-Verify recordability of seller transfer documents
-Read surveys into title Title Commitment Preparation
-Prepare and issue title commitments/preliminary title reports.
-List requirements that must be satisfied before closing.
-Identify exceptions that will remain on the title insurance policy. Underwriting Support
-Evaluate title risks and determine insurability.
-Work with title underwriters to resolve complex title issues.
-Review legal documents affecting title coverage decisions.
-Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and New Jersey regulations. Transaction Coordination
-Communicate with attorneys, lenders, real estate agents, surveyors, and borrowers.
-Obtain payoff statements, releases, and other documents needed to clear title.
-Coordinate with settlement/closing departments to ensure all title conditions are met. Qualifications
-New Jersey Title Producer License
-Knowledge of New Jersey real estate law and title practices.
-Know how to prepare conveyance documents, such as Deeds
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize files
