Assistant Shipping ManagerRadwell International is seeking an organized and motivated Assistant Shipping Manager to help lead our Shipping Department and support daily logistics operations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their leadership experience within a growing logistics operation.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily shipping operations to ensure orders are boxed, processed, and shipped accurately and on scheduleMonitor team assignments and workflow to maintain productivity and efficiencyBuild and maintain positive relationships with shipping carriers including FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, and freight carriersCoordinate and schedule LTL and FTL freight shipmentsSupport international shipping activities, including commercial invoices, EEI filings, HTSUS codes, and related documentationAudit shipments to ensure packages are labeled, packaged, and documented correctlyMaintain carrier pickup schedules and address delivery issues as neededPartner with departments across the organization to resolve order changes, delivery concerns, and shipping-related inquiriesMaintain an organized and efficient shipping environmentExecute action plans for same-day rush orders when standard carrier pickup deadlines are missedAssist with maintaining inventory levels for shipping suppliesVerify employee timecards and monitor attendance adherenceTrack department metrics and support productivity management initiativesPerform additional duties and projects as assignedWhat We Are Looking ForPrevious warehouse, shipping, logistics, or transportation experienceLeadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong technical aptitude and computer skillsExceptional work ethic and attention to detailAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to customer service and operational excellenceKnowledge and SkillsExperience with UPS WorldShip preferredExperience with FedEx Ship Manager preferredFamiliarity with DHL shipping systems preferredExperience with ADSI/Logistyx shipping software preferredExperience with P21 warehouse software preferredFamiliarity with Radiant Spectrum preferredStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to multitask effectively and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredShipping, logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain experience preferredPrevious supervisory or team leadership experience preferredCompensation & BonusThe recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $50,000-$60,000 annually. Within the base pay range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Employees work closely with shipping carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments to ensure efficient shipment processing and delivery performance. Frequent standing, walking, repetitive hand movements, and lifting may be required.
