Job Title: Quality Technician Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting machined parts to ensure they meet dimensional accuracy and quality compliance standards. You will read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications, using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment. You will perform first-piece, in-process, and final product inspections, document inspection results, and maintain quality records. Additionally, you will identify and report nonconforming products and assist with corrective actions, collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve quality and reduce scrap.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined parts for dimensional accuracy and quality compliance.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.

• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment.

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final product inspections.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.

• Experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

• Familiarity with GD&T specifications.

• Ability to perform quality inspections and control processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A machining background is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is in an industrial, not climate-controlled environment, typical of a machine shop. It is a large plant where you will be on your feet all day in a physical job, with potential exposure to dust.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Canton, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
