Department: Biology Salary: Commensurate with experience Description The Department of Biology and Biochemistry in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Houston invites applications for a part‑time Adjunct Faculty position to teach classes in Anatomy and Physiology and related fields. Responsibilities will include teaching one section of a three‑credit hour Anatomy and Physiology course in accordance with the department’s curriculum guidelines and policies, developing and organizing the course syllabus, lecture materials, assignments, and grading criteria, holding regular office hours (in‑person or virtual) to support student learning and address course‑related questions, and utilizing the university's learning management system (Canvas) to post course materials, assignments, and grades in a timely manner. The successful candidate must have a graduate degree in General Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, or related fields. Official transcripts are required for a faculty appointment and will be requested upon selection of the final candidate. All positions at the University of Houston‑System are security‑sensitive and will require a criminal history check. Individuals conducting research in critical infrastructure areas (i.e., communication infrastructure systems, cybersecurity systems, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment systems, and/or water treatment facilities) are subject to regular review to ensure the security and integrity of the research is maintained.
