Systems Engineer

Overview Knowledge Capital Associates, LLC is seeking a full‑time Systems Engineer to support the Marine Corps Systems Command in Stafford, VA. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or mathematics and at least 10 years of relevant experience, along with strong communication and writing skills. Responsibilities Generate systems engineering documentation in accordance with DoDI 5000.02 and Marine Corps Systems Command procedures, including Technology Development Strategies, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, Systems Engineering Plans, Programmatic Environmental Safety and Health Evaluations, Risk Acceptance Documentation, Performance Specifications, NEPA documentation, and Configuration Management Plans. Assist in systems analysis and requirements analysis, preparing and reviewing Requirements Traceability Matrices. Conduct analysis and provide recommendations for Systems Engineering Technical Reviews, plan, coordinate, execute, and close out SETRs, draft agendas and briefing slides, record minutes, and facilitate closing of resulting action items. Support failure analysis by reviewing incident reports, Corrective Action Reports, and related documentation, and performing investigations. Assist in engineering evaluations of manufacturing processes, technology obsolescence, insertion, capability enhancements, configuration and interface control, and platform integration. Perform Technical Analysis on security classification guides, reduced manufacturing sources, material shortages, and obsolescence issues. Review, assemble, and update technical data packages; attend system drawing reviews, record minutes, identify discrepancies, update, and redline drawing packages; draft Configuration Status Accounting checklists. Analyze sustainment data and trends in the Operations & Sustainment phase; prepare summary reports with systems engineering recommendations for sustainability. Provide Configuration Management support, including developing PCA plans, participating in PCAs, analyzing configuration modifications, generating ECPs, updating Configuration Status Accounting databases. Collect, analyze, and draft summary reports of relevant test data for Government review and approval. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, physics, or mathematics. Minimum ten (10) years of systems engineering work experience. Excellent communication and writing skills with a clear grasp of English grammar. Experience in testing, including functional and environmental testing, user evaluations, and test plan and report development. Proficiency in systems analysis, requirements traceability, and configuration management. Ability to conduct technical analysis, failure analysis, and engineering evaluations. Knowledge of Marine Corps Systems Command procedures and DoDI 5000.02. Must be able to receive an Interim Secret Clearance from the U.S. Government within six (6) weeks of employment; failure to obtain clearance may result in dismissal. #J-18808-Ljbffr
