The MRI Technologist is proficient in performing all routine MRI procedures essential for diagnosing various diseases and conditions. This role requires a strong foundation in magnetic resonance imaging techniques and patient care across all age groups.

Education

Applicants must be ARRT registered or hold an Associate in Applied Science degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Those not yet registered must provide proof of application to sit for the MRI registry and achieve ARRT registration within one year of hire to maintain employment.

Experience

One to two years of relevant experience is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate effective communication skills, manual dexterity, and visual acuity. Physical ability to assume awkward positions, respond to emergencies, stand and walk for extended periods, as well as bend and lift, is essential.

Requirements

CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required and will be provided during orientation. The technologist must be knowledgeable about growth and development stages and capable of providing care tailored to patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The position may involve contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
