With nearly 40 years of direct industry expertise, we are recognized as both a leading innovator and a trusted brand.Position Summary: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality Control Technician plays a critical role in protecting product integrity and customer satisfaction by ensuring all incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products meet defined quality standards. This role is responsible for executing inspections, maintaining accurate quality documentation, supporting audits, and driving corrective actions while mentoring production teams on proper inspection methods and quality governance throughout the manufacturing process.Responsibilities:Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections and testing in accordance with internal procedures, control plans, and product specificationsMaintain and support the development of inspection procedures, visual standards, and quality control plansEnsure measuring and calibration devices are maintained and calibrated according to the Quality Management SystemIdentify, remove, and quarantine non-conforming material and support rework activities as requiredCommunicate quality issues using standard reporting protocols and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) processesManage outgoing product inspections and ensure products are prepared and loaded for shipment per defined proceduresMaintain quality testing schedules, performance metrics, and standardized reportingSupport the NCR system by documenting deviations, performing RCA, and assisting with corrective and preventive actionsAssist with quality audits, including ISO and SMS audits, and support follow-up corrective actionsMaintain accurate quality records, inspection results, and production documentationProvide quality documentation and support to internal teams and customers as requiredMentor and guide production employees on inspection methods, documentation standards, and quality expectationsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Enterprise (SMS) programsServe as a primary point of contact for quality-related support across manufacturingMaintain housekeeping, 5S standards, and a safe, clean work environmentActively support workplace safety programs, hazard assessments, and standard operating proceduresQualifications:High School diploma requiredMinimum 1 year of related quality or manufacturing experienceExperience using calibration equipment and precision measuring devicesProficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic computer applicationsStrong attention to detail for visual inspections, data entry, and documentation accuracyAbility to interpret quality standards, specifications, and inspection proceduresComfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, and varying temperaturesAbility to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and inspecting products in confined or elevated spacesCapable of performing basic mathematical and statistical calculationsWhy Join Mattr?Multiple medical, dental & vision plan options (Blue Cross Blue Shield & VSP)Health Savings Account (HSA) with monthly company contributions401(k) with dollar-for-dollar match, vested from day oneIncentive bonus plans plus paid vacation & sick leaveEmployer-paid Life, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability insuranceWellness incentivesFree Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Discounts on fitness, shopping & travel (Blue365, LifeMart & more)Year-round permanent work at one location with tools, PPE & safety trainingOnsite parking and staff social eventsWe are always looking to add great people to the Mattr family, people whose skills and goals match our mission and values.
