As a Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical Unit at Medical Park Hospital , you will provide care on a 33-bed unit dedicated to post-operative patients . This fast-paced unit serves a diverse surgical population recovering from procedures in general surgery, gynecology, urology, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), and plastic surgery .

Our nurses deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of surgical needs, from routine recoveries to more complex post-operative cases. • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.

What You‘ll Do

• Provide direct nursing care for post-operative patients across a variety of surgical specialties.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, treatments, and other physician-ordered interventions.
• Deliver post-operative education to patients and their families.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Support safe transitions through admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately within the electronic medical record.
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and an exceptional patient experience.
