Posting Number PG196081TM Position Number 25MR71 Position Type Temporary Essential Job Duties NC State University Libraries is seeking a graduate student from any discipline to support the work in the Cyma Rubin Visualization Gallery at the D. H. Hill Jr. Library. This position provides hands‑on experience with teaching and learning using immersive and emerging technologies. Additionally, the student assistant will be integrated into a team of library professionals to provide direct support to users across disciplines. Under the supervision of the Research Librarian for Business, Education, and Immersive Pedagogy, the student will: Provide hands‑on support in the Cyma Rubin Visualization Gallery, including: Orientations for new students and faculty interested in using the Gallery Consultations with users to help refine their content in the Gallery Hosting events in the Gallery, acting as a welcoming presence available for questions from patrons Collaborate with librarians to plan, schedule and staff events in the Gallery Create new content to explore other capabilities of the Gallery Hours This position is up to 10 hours per week. The student assistant is expected to maintain a regular weekly schedule, but there is some flexibility. Some possible evening and weekend hours may be required, with advance planning and discussion with the supervisor.
