A Day in the Life Job Specific Summary Global Facilities and Security sits within Global Operations and Supply Chain. We support our people, protect our sites and keep our operations moving. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician I, you’ll play a key role in sustaining a safe, reliable, and inclusive work environment. In this highly visible role, you’ll help ensure our facilities operate at peak performance so teams can continue delivering technologies that improve and save lives.

Location & Hours

This role is fully onsite at our Rice Creek facility in Fridley, Monday – Friday, 7AM – 3:30PM.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment
• Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, and sheet metal fabrication
• Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment
• Uses hand and power tools
• Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment
• Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of Facilities/Maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) HVAC Certification
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$59,200.00 - $88,800.00

This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
