Data Processing Specialist (General Clerk II)

Location: 1310 G Street NW, Washington, DC 20005 Pay: $27.51 per hour (includes base wage + health & welfare compensation) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM JH Miles & Associates, Inc. (JHMA), a premier professional services firm with over 25 years of experience, is seeking a Data Processing Specialist to support federal government operations. This full-time contract role is classified under the Service Contract Act (SCA) as General Clerk II and offers a competitive compensation package, including benefits and paid time off. Key Responsibilities Provide clerical support to the Alcohol Labeling and Formulation Division of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) Process incoming COLA waivers and export certificates File natural wine certificates according to TTB standards Deliver customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions Answer and distribute telephone messages daily Perform data entry, indexing, scanning, and document management Handle mail room services and miscellaneous mailings Respond to inquiries using TTB-established standards Participate in training for specialized document processing Support general office operations and assist with other clerical duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Minimum of 1 year experience in office administration or data processing Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2016 (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Experience with document management and general office equipment Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple duties Must currently hold or have recently held a Tier II Public Trust or higher security clearance Base wage: $21.96/hour Health & welfare compensation: $5.55/hour Total hourly compensation: $27.51/hour Company-sponsored 401(k) with matching Paid time off Health insurance Location: In-person at Washington, DC office (remote work may be considered) Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract About JH Miles & Associates, Inc.
