We are expanding our school security team and seeking professional, reliable, and motivated individuals to join us in providing a safe and secure learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Position Overview
School Security Officers play a critical role in maintaining a safe and orderly school environment. Officers will patrol premises, monitor for safety concerns, and serve as a visible and approachable presence for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safety and security procedures, including site-specific policies and emergency response protocols
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with students, staff, and visitors
• Conduct routine and random patrols of school grounds, entrances, and perimeters
• Monitor for suspicious activity, disturbances, or unauthorized access
• Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or critical situations
• Complete incident reports and communicate safety concerns to supervisors or law enforcement when needed
  

Minimum Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must hold a valid New York State Security Guard License
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Good physical condition to meet the demands of the role

Preferred Experience (one or more):

• 2+ years of full-time law enforcement experience
• 2+ years of military service (honorable discharge)
• 3+ years of school security officer experience
