Associate Engineer

Amgen Inc

Amgen seeks an Associate Engineer to support process operations, maintenance, and reliability at their Rhode Island manufacturing site. The role involves troubleshooting equipment, coordinating cross-functional improvements, and participating in a rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

Provide process and equipment maintenance support for commercial and clinical manufacturing operations
Troubleshoot equipment and control issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
Coordinate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve operational issues and implement improvements
Support design, startup, and commissioning of new or modified systems within schedule and budget
Participate in 24/7 rotating on-call schedule to support process systems

Requirements

High school diploma/GED with 6 years engineering experience, or Associate's degree with 4 years experience, or Bachelor's degree
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work independently
Experience with mammalian cell culture, protein purification, or biopharmaceutical equipment (preferred)
Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
