Social Worker, Center-based Special Education

Job Title

We are looking for a team-oriented individual that can join our Special Education Center-based Classrooms.

Job Description

This position would primarily support our elementary behavior program. Summary of duties include:

• Providing direct services for students needs (i.e. developing self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making).
• Providing consultation and support to classroom teachers regarding students related to behavior and social interactions.
• Providing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons to individual or small groups of students.
• Supporting students utilizing crisis intervention.
• Collaborating with families regarding students' educational programming and progress.
• Serving as a liaison between school, families and outside agencies.
• Assisting with behavior management by providing students with services to facilitate growth in decision making.

Type of Position: Continuing Salary: $48,166 - $89,645 per Teachers Work Agreement, will negotiate based on qualifications/years of experience. Supervisor of Position: Special Education Program Supervisor Qualifications: Valid Minnesota School Social Worker License.
