Travel – Registered Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Expected 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends | Projected Start: January 20, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care services across all inpatient units, including rotation through two ICUs, rotating weekends as scheduled
• Perform aerosol treatments, BiPAP management, and ventilator management using equipment such as Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, and Philips V60+
• Assist with advanced procedures including intubation, arterial line insertion, and bedside bronchoscopy assist
• Utilize Meditech for clinical documentation and apply AIDET patient experience standards
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounding and collaborate with nursing and other clinical departments to enhance patient care
• Operate bedside ABG analyzers (Siemens EPOC) and other unit-specific technology to support quality care delivery

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
• Experience in ICU, ER, and critical adult care required; Level 2 NICU and pediatric experience within scope
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
• Proficiency with ventilator management and BiPAP in a critical care setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Philips V60+, and bedside ABG analyzers
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Background in performing or assisting with advanced procedures such as intubation and bedside bronchoscopy
• Experience working within an interdisciplinary team model with structured rounding practices
