Overview Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects invites qualified individuals to serve as a Construction Inspector for public agencies water and wastewater capital improvements in the Inland Empire areas. The role focuses on ensuring project quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Provide owner’s Representative and QA services for public agencies water and wastewater capital improvements. Inspect and record Contractor’s construction activities at the project site to ensure conformance to the contract documents. Take measurements and maintain records of quantities and materials installed. Review and compile Inspection Team’s field information and produce reports as assigned. Respond to inquiries regarding inspection as related to the project. Exercise sound judgment in identifying potential problems and report any issues to immediate supervisor. Work within a Project Team environment to resolve problems. Perform office support work, compiling records and data for proposed and completed projects. Assist in preconstruction services, including review of drawings for constructability reviews and estimates. Delegate adequate authority to other Project Inspectors and establish a good relationship with the Client that will enhance capability to perform repeat work. Assist in setting policies and procedures for company inspection standards and notify senior management of any event that will significantly affect completion, profitability or client relationship. Work onsite at client site; assignments may include day and night shift. Collaborate, learn, and build relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. Compensation $70 - $80 an hour. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology or 4 additional years of related experience. Minimum 15 years’ experience as a Construction Inspector. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points) Designation as CMIT (Construction Manager In-Training) per CMAA. Certified as a Concrete Field-Testing Technician Level 1 per ACI. Certified as an ODOT Pre-Qualified Construction Inspector. NICET, APWA certifications. Desirable to achieve these certifications within the first year of service. Ability to read and interpret contract documents including plans, specifications and geotechnical reports. Knowledgeable in math, including geometry and trigonometry. Ability to maintain records and prepare reports, both manually and electronically. Ability to work in team environment and lead assigned tasks. Excellent communication skills. Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust. Location Onsite at client site in the Inland Empire areas with possibilities for day and night shift assignments. Some in‑person time is required for collaboration, learning, and relationship building.
