As the Air Force's leader for National-to-Tactical capability development, AFRL collaborates with leading experts across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, National Laboratories, industry, inter-agency, academia, and partner nations.Key Responsibilities:Build and deploy helm charts to Kubernetes clustersDevelop GitLab CI/CD pipelines to build, scan, publish, and deploy containers and helm charts.Troubleshoot failed deployments and pipelines.Containerize custom applications.Design high-level architecture for cloud-native networks and systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support a variety of tech stacksWork Environment:Location: Colorado Springs, CO – OnsiteTravel Requirements: MinimalWorking Hours: FlexibleQualifications:Required:Security Clearance: Must have an active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtainEducation: B.S. in Computer Science. Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience or certification.DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce qualification (Security+ or equivalent)3+ years of experience with deep knowledge in one or more of the following fields:Cloud EngineeringPipeline engineeringKubernetes developmentProficient in KubernetesExperience writing Dockerfiles and containerizing applications.3+ years of experience with GNU/Linux commands, shell navigation, and Git version control.Ability to research and solve complex technical problems independently.Desired:Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) certification or similarExperience with AWS or Azure cloud services, certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals or similar) is preferred.Competence in building pipelines, preferably with GitLab.Experience delivering a cloud native application.Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC flows, or KeyCloak.Experience with IaC tools, especially Terraform.Experience deploying to air-gapped networks.Experience with Cert Manager, OpenSSL, and Public Key Infrastructure.Experience with event streaming services, especially Kafka.Basic Compensation: $115,600 - $173,300 (For Colorado Springs Only)The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
