Security Installer

Job Overview The Commercial Installer works onsite with commercial customers to set up and program their Integrated Security fire and security systems, dismantling and reconstructing equipment as necessary. Responsibilities Install appropriate devices and dismantle/reconstruct equipment as required by the customer or Tyco Integrated Security. Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, property damage, loss of materials, and clean up installation debris. Contact customers prior to the scheduled installation to verify the date. Prepare estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or supervisor directions. Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook‑up procedures. Test operation of the system to the signal‑receiving center to establish service. Read building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints as required. Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and manage necessary records for notification of emergency calls. May manage installation teams on larger projects. Coach and mentor less experienced installers. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Some technical school training is a plus. Six (6) or more years of electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to operate a fleet vehicle safely at all times. Strong communication skills and excellent customer service orientation. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $28–$39, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data. A competitive benefits package is included.
