Assembler

We are seeking a Machine Assembler for a well known, international manufacturing company in Farmington, CT. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience doing mechanical assembly and machine assembly. This person must be able to read and interpret blueprints. The ability to use precision measurement gauges is required. Electrical wiring assembly is a plus. 

salary: $52,000 - $72,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and machines according to engineering drawings, part lists, blueprints, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic schematics.

• Use precision tools such as torque wrenches, depth gauges, dial indicators and digital levels to achieve tolerances. Use appropriate fixtures to aid in the assembly process.

• Operate overhead crane to move heavy components during the assembly process.

• Ability to read, convert and measure in imperial (inch) and metric system.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without aid and perform repetitive reaching and bending.

• Familiarity with documentation, drawings, and part lists helpful. Ability to read simple schematics and blueprints. 

• Must be able to work with accurate measuring devices.
