Maintenance Technician C Position Summary: Under minimal supervision, leads and participates in a wide variety of advanced skilled journey-level duties for preventative and corrective maintenance involved in the installation , maintenance , repair and servicing of mechanical , electro-mechanical , general electrical and electronic systems , equipment, devices and machinery manufacturing facilities for metal packaging products , coating facilities , warehouse/ storage facilities, air purification equipment and systems; operation/maintenance equipment and tools, including: production , storage and distribution facilities , and compressed air generation/ drying system ; and performs related duties as assigned. Responsibilities:
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand and talk or hear; and walk or sit. Ability to work overtime, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed The employee must regularly lift and/or move tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Mental Demands

- Leads and participates in a variety of journey-level advanced skill duties involved in preventative and corrective maintenance duties involving inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and servicing of manufacturing and electric utility facilities, equipment, components, and machinery, such as pipes, tubes, rods, seals, shafts, gears, motors, bearings, couplings, belt presses, paint, curing, steam generation, storage and feed systems, flow stations, fume scrubbers, valves, pumps; tests and monitors equipment and machinery for vibration, bearing temperature and output capacity.
- Leads and participates in preventative and corrective maintenance involved in inspecting, troubleshooting, servicing and repairing large industrial manufacturing equipment , diesel and natural gas engines and related water, water treatment equipment and machinery, RTO flow stations and air treatment plants; leads and performs electrical repairs to motors, engines and machinery; uses lockout/tag-out procedures to block electrical and mechanical sources.
- Leads and participates in the installation , replacement and repair of manufacturing , paint /cure equipment, storage/ feed and distribution system components such as stackers, conveyors, tanks, evaporators, RTO units, distribution lines and valves, pumps, motors, gears/ gear boxes, etc...
- Leads and participates in preventative and corrective maintenance for the installation, repair and maintenance of manufacturing cells , electric utility power distribution stations/ facilities and equipment.
- Prepares and reviews work orders, material requisitions, reports and other written documentation for this operation.
- Leads and participates in the design and fabrication of a variety of brackets, supports and other metal structures, using torches, welding equipment and other fabrication equipment.
- Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems , apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers , transformers and other components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
- Follows all safety guidelines and ensures the Company's safety program is carried out.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

- Minimum of 3 years' experience
- Industrial Maintenance Certification/Degree preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing Environment
- Read and interpret blueprints, properly use shop mathematics
- Must demonstrate application of advanced principles, methods, techniques, tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial; electrical, mechanical equipment and machinery
- Demonstrate safety practices, safe work methods and safety regulations pertaining to the trade; application of lockout/block out procedures.
- Proven understanding of hydraulics/ pneumatic/ mechanics/ base electrical knowledge, mechanical drives/ gears/ gearboxes/ conveyors and general mechanical application in manufacturing systems, use and operation of oxyacetylene and cutting torch materials.
- Understanding of basic electrical safety, confined space entry procedures, basic first aid; safety regulations.
