Dean of the School of Health Sciences

the client seeks a dynamic, collaborative health science leader to serve as its next Dean of the School of Health Sciences. In this role, the Dean will advance the School’s impact by preparing workforce-ready graduates and leading community-focused health equity initiatives. The School offers a broad portfolio of undergraduate and graduate programs across multiple health professions, and it is expected to expand further with additional public health offerings. The Dean will build and execute a compelling vision aligned with the client’s strategic priorities and responsive to the evolving landscape of healthcare education, research, and practice. As part of broader institutional plans, the School is expected to transition into a College in the near term, with an emphasis on supporting research growth and the development of new interdisciplinary research doctoral programs that leverage the health sciences across the academic enterprise, alongside continued community and state impact. Reporting to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the Dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer. Responsibilities include leading academic quality and faculty development, advancing student success, supporting accreditation efforts, and overseeing budgeting and resource stewardship, enrollment strategy, and external engagement. The Dean will also collaborate with senior academic leadership and campus partners to strengthen shared governance, expand interdisciplinary initiatives, support innovation in teaching and learning, grow research and grant activity, and deepen partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations.
