Calm Reflections Mental Health Counseling Center is seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese to join our dedicated team. This full-time remote position will allow you to provide comprehensive therapeutic support to children and families facing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct individual therapy sessions or group therapy sessions remotely, utilizing telehealth technology to enhance accessibility for families. \n
- Implement behavior modification programs focusing on anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development to help reduce high-risk behaviors. \n
- Assist youth and their caregivers in decision-making processes to better manage in-home behavioral challenges, coordinating with family members to tailor approaches based on specific needs. \n
- Collaborate actively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure cohesive support for the youth and families you serve. \n
- Submit timely and accurate documentation for each client, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes in adherence to organizational guidelines. \n
- Participate in monthly team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations based on your professional observations to drive improved treatment outcomes. \n
This position primarily focuses on providing support to children and teenagers aged 3 to 20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will work closely with families, emphasizing a tailored approach to each child’s unique needs, ensuring that therapies are guided by individual circumstances and family dynamics. By providing in-home therapy, you will facilitate a comfortable and familiar environment conducive to personal growth and healing.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required. \n
- An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is necessary. \n
- Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during late afternoon hours from 4 to 7 PM, with additional weekend flexibility considered a plus. \n
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for attending in-person sessions if required. \n
- Passion for working with marginalized populations and advocating for inclusive mental health practices. \n

- Experience providing positive behavior support strategies that enhance child and family functioning. \n
- Prior engagement with children ages 3-20 and specific experience with individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred. \n
- Familiarity with telehealth methods and tools to conduct effective remote therapy sessions. \n
- Proven track record of collaboration with other mental health professionals and community resources. \n
