School-Based Occupational Therapist

Position Summary:
\n The position of School-Based Occupational Therapist provides coordinated Occupational therapy to school-aged children. They plan, implement, and evaluate students to provide appropriate fine motor and/or sensory integration skills. They evaluate occupational roles and occupational performance of students with physical and/or cognitive impairments. They provide interventions based on student deficits and they collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Education/License/Certification:

\n

\n
• Masters, or PhD in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution of higher education
\n
• Current Active State License to practice Occupational Therapy in OH
\n

\n

Experience/Requirements:

\n

\n
• Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred.
\n
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
\n
• Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.
\n
• Ability to work under pressure.
\n
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
\n
• Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
\n
• Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
\n
• Responsive to requests.
\n
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.
\n
