Nursing Manager

The Nursing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to clients within the organization in Hilliard, Ohio. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leadership and Management: Develop and implement nursing strategic plans aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values. Oversee nursing operations, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation across departments. Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all nursing personnel. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff. 2. Clinical Oversight: Ensure the delivery of high-quality client care, following evidence-based practices and treatment protocols. Oversee and assist with client assessments, care planning, and the implementation of treatment plans. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary. 3. Policy and Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and update nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. Ensure nursing staff adherence to established policies and procedures. 4. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive client care. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff to provide education and support. 5. Quality Improvement: Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care and safety. Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop and implement corrective action plans as needed. 6. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits. Maintain accurate and complete client records and documentation. Perform chart audits to ensure compliance. 7. Education and Training: Provide ongoing education and training to nursing staff on best practices in substance abuse treatment, clinical skills, and regulatory requirements. Ensure all nursing staff are compliant with licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Crisis De-escalation requirements per their job description. Stay current with developments in substance abuse treatment and incorporate new knowledge into practice. 8. Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required to ensure the smooth operation of the treatment center. Participate in special projects, committees, and initiatives as needed. Qualifications: Master's degree in nursing or a related field preferred. Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Ohio or a compact state. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of state and federal regulations and accreditation standards related to substance abuse treatment. Working Conditions: The position requires working in a clinical setting with patients who have substance use disorders and mental health conditions. The role may involve exposure to potentially stressful situations and requires the ability to handle crises and emergencies. Must be able to travel for professional development or organizational meetings as required.
