Behavior Technicians - Teaching Experience Preferred

Part-Time|Full-Time | In-Home ABA

Alpha & Omega Kids is hiring part-time Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide in-home ABA therapy for children with autism and related developmental disabilities in Bronx, New York.

We are seeking reliable, motivated professionals who are comfortable working independently in family homes while receiving consistent supervision from a BCBA.

We are especially interested in candidates who have experience working with children with special needs and backgrounds in education, teaching, or direct support .

This may be a great opportunity for you if you have experience as a:

• Teacher or Teacher's Assistant • Special Education Teacher • Paraprofessional • Classroom Aide • DSP (Direct Support Professional) • Childcare Provider • Behavioral Health Professional • School Support Staff • Anyone with hands-on experience supporting children with special needs

Experience working with children diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities is strongly preferred.

Schedule

• Part-time
• Minimum 15 hours per week required
• Cases available between 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM, afternoon cases available.
• Daytime and afternoon cases available
• Consistent weekly assignments

Compensation

$20 – $30 per hour (based on experience and credentials)

Qualifications:

• Must live in New York• Experience working with children preferred• Experience with children with special needs preferred• Teaching, DSP, special education, or classroom experience is a plus• RBT certification is preferred; training opportunities are available.

What You’ll Do

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in the child’s home
• Implement treatment plans designed by a BCBA
• Collect and record session data using a mobile device
• Write clear, accurate session notes
• Support development of communication, behavior regulation, and daily living skills
• Maintain professionalism with families and caregivers

Training is available for candidates new to ABA.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation (required)
• Access to a mobile device for documentation
• High school diploma (required)
• Minimum 6 months of ABA or related experience preferred
• Experience working with children strongly preferred
• Must pass background screening
• Able to engage in physical activity including kneeling, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to accept supervision and feedback
• Spanish speaking a plus
