Tri-State Region Professional Services Veterinarian-Companion Animal

Merck Animal Health seeks a field-based veterinarian for the Tri-State Region to serve as a technical expert and advisor to internal and external customers. The role involves delivering product education, supporting regional sales strategy, and collaborating across organizational functions in companion animal health.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical lectures on animal health products to key customers and veterinary organizations
Support Regional Sales Manager in developing and executing regional business strategy
Meet with key opinion leaders to discuss portfolio and identify new business opportunities
Serve as regional technical expert, evaluating training needs and coaching sales representatives
Represent company at veterinary schools, associations, and conferences

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree
Minimum 5 years clinical companion animal veterinary practice
Minimum 5 years animal health industry, leadership, or management experience
Expert knowledge of vaccines, parasiticides, and therapeutics
Ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences
Strong presentation, facilitation, and written communication skills
Competency with Microsoft Office and industry software (Salesforce, Veeva, Power BI)

Compensation: $142,400-$224,100 base
