Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 8- to 10-hour day shifts with rotating call; rotation to PM shift in line with all staff; call expected 1–2 days per week and every 3–4 weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a circulating nurse, providing documentation and direct patient care throughout the operative setting across a high-volume environment averaging 75–100 cases per day across 25 OR suites
• Perform sterile prepping of surgical sites, patient positioning, catheter insertion, and opening of sterile supplies
• Document patient care accurately within an electronic health record system (EPIC-based)
• Set up and operate OR equipment including cautery, lasers, laparoscopic equipment, arthroscopy equipment, and Stealth navigation for neuro cases
• Scrub and circulate on a broad range of cases including Neuro (craniotomies, spine) , Ortho, General, GYN, and Urology
• Remain available to extend shift as needed and rotate to PM shift per department schedule; occasional float to alternate campus locations (rare)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – North Dakota or Compact
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
• Experience in a large acute care hospital with 250+ beds and Level 1 Trauma designation
• Experience in a facility with 15 or more OR suites (outpatient center experience alone will not meet this requirement)
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living 60–80 miles from the facility may be subject to a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong Neuro OR experience with focus on craniotomies and spine procedures
• Strong Orthopedic OR experience to support case versatility
• Experience with robotic surgery, specifically the DaVinci system
• Familiarity with navigation-guided surgical procedures (e.g., Stealth navigation)
