Job Overview The Lead EyeCare Advisor creates exceptional value for customers by delivering the LensCrafters Experience. This role ensures the highest quality optometric care by managing key steps, integrating the brand story, and linking the doctor and retail functions. Major Duties & Responsibilities Greets customers promptly upon arrival. Responds to telephone calls in a friendly and courteous manner. Explains required paperwork, tests, products, and services with appropriate time frames. Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully; identifies special needs and consults with opticians, the managing doctor, or retail management when necessary. Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients. Completes work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and volume. Identifies unsatisfied customers and acts quickly to resolve issues. Strives to achieve “Exceptional Results” on LensCrafters’ annual CEI/Functional Skills aligned with brand priorities. Handles and files all patient records in an organized manner in accordance with HIPAA. Places contact lens orders, processes shipments, and submits invoices for payment. Operates the POS system terminal, entering customer/patient and prescription information accurately. Collects proper payment following company security procedures and retains proper change for transactions such as credit cards, layaways, discounts, insurance, and coupons. Explains “One Hour” processing and expected delivery times to customers. Maintains the appearance of the store and ensures visual displays meet company guidelines. Maintains a safe working environment for all associates and patients. Responds swiftly to changes in store promotions, providing appropriate staff communications, graphics, and point‑of‑purchase materials. Retail Demonstrates product knowledge; accurately describes features and benefits of lenses and frames. Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses best suited for vision, lifestyle, and budget. Provides time and information to help customers understand available options. Doctor’s Office Performs all pre‑examination testing accurately. Provides coaching and guidance to patients on contact lens care and handling. Maintains and disinfects contact lens inventory; provides clinical support to the optometrist as needed. Basic Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. At least one year of experience. Strong customer service skills (internal and external). Knowledge of current fashion trends. Leadership and problem‑solving skills. Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators. Strong organizational and sales skills. Basic math skills. Knowledge of office and store merchandise. Strong interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical.
