PTA - RehabilitationA Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at our facility provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting patients in rehabilitation and helping them achieve functional goals.Key ResponsibilitiesPTAs work closely with Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality musculoskeletal care. Their primary duties include:Assisting patients with exercises, stretches, and therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, and function.Using devices such as walkers or braces to support patient movement and reduce pain.Observing and documenting patient progress, reporting findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.Educating patients and families on home exercise programs, wellness strategies, and post-treatment care.Preparing and maintaining therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety.Supporting patient transfers and mobility within the clinic or rehabilitation environment.Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.Work EnvironmentPTAs typically work in outpatient clinics, sports medicine facilities, or rehabilitation centers. They may interact with a diverse patient population, including athletes, seniors, and individuals recovering from orthopedic, neurologic, or medical conditions.
