Role Summary:

A Healthcare Integration Engineer (Mirth Connect/NextGen Connect specialist) responsible for building and maintaining HL7/X12/FHIR interfaces , ensuring secure, compliant data exchange (HIPAA) across providers and payers.

MUST‑HAVE

✅ Mirth Connect (NextGen)

✅ HL7 v2 messaging

✅ X12 (claims, EDI)

✅ FHIR (interoperability)

✅ SQL (queries, stored procedures)

✅ Healthcare domain (VERY IMPORTANT)

JavaScript / Java scripting in Mirth
ETL logic
HIPAA compliance
Integration troubleshooting

Provider/payer integrations
API integrations

✅ Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain interfaces using Mirth Connect

- Work with HL7, X12, and FHIR standards

- Build and optimize message transformations

- Develop SQL queries and ETL logic

- Troubleshoot integration issues and perform root-cause analysis

- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards (HIPAA).
