Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Crew Supervisor III to lead and support manufacturing teams within a fast-paced industrial production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing crew safety, production performance, quality standards, and employee engagement while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can motivate teams, solve problems, and effectively manage daily operations while maintaining a strong safety and performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development

Lead and manage hourly production crews while promoting a safe, accountable, and high-performing work environment

Facilitate shift meetings and communicate departmental priorities, goals, and business objectives
-
Coach, mentor, and develop employees while supporting skill growth and performance improvement
-
Resolve workplace conflict and provide employee coaching and counseling as needed
-
Recognize team accomplishments and encourage employee engagement
Operations & Production Management
-
Monitor production flow and operational performance to ensure safety, quality, and production objectives are met
-
Plan and execute departmental operating plans, crew schedules, assignments, and overtime coverage
-
Maintain production, quality, and process management standards
-
Coordinate with internal departments and external partners when applicable to communicate priorities and operational expectations
-
Demonstrate strong customer service and commitment to internal and external stakeholders
Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving
-
Lead and engage teams in process improvement and problem-solving initiatives
-
Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective action activities
-
Develop and execute structured problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement plans
-
Support implementation and sharing of best practices across teams
-
Demonstrate ownership of Lean Manufacturing and operational improvement principles
Safety & Compliance
-
Promote and enforce environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
-
Ensure workplace rules, operating procedures, and labor agreements (when applicable) are consistently followed
-
Maintain and review standard work practices and leadership expectations
Required Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment
Preferred Qualifications
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
-
Supervisory experience in a union manufacturing environment
-
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
-
Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies and Root Cause Analysis
-
Progressive leadership mindset with the ability to drive change and improvement
