Group Lead- Quality Inspector
Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking a 2nd shift Group Lead- Quality Inspector to work in the Westlake, OH area. This position offers a variety of great benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. Salary range is $55,000-$58,000 plus overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Inspect parts and verify dimensions, surface finish, hardness, and balance using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment, including CMMs.
- Perform first-piece inspections, capability studies, and production quality checks to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Record inspection results, report quality concerns, and support corrective actions.
- Calibrate and operate balancing and inspection equipment.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to inspectors and production personnel on quality standards and inspection methods.
- Assist in leading daily quality activities, prioritizing inspection needs, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support supervision in evaluating probationary inspectors and maintaining a safe, team-oriented work environment.
- Perform additional quality and customer-related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating and programming CMM equipment required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality inspection methods, calibration, and statistical process control.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T and coordinate systems.
- Strong math, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection planning tools.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to mentor and support team members.
