Unit size: 32 beds

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year recent RN experience required
- Licensure: Pending NM/Compact accepted but must be obtained prior to start
- Certifications: BLS; NIHSS required (pending OK)
- Relevant clinical skills: IV starts/maintenance, peripheral/PICC/central line care, phlebotomy, blood product administration, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), non-invasive airway support, feeding tube care, PCA management, heparin/insulin administration, wound care/Wound VAC, ostomy care, chest tube management, pre/post hemodialysis care
- EMR: Epic

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical neuro setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and perform necessary interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.
- Document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Pre-approved time off: 1 shift allowed
- Floating: Required to float to like units as needed
