Assistant Football Coach (2026-2027)

Mount Vernon High School is seeking applicants for positions on the High School Football Staff for the 26-27 school year. This position teaches and coaches our students to the highest level that can be attained, while supporting the academic beliefs and practices of the district. Duties and Responsibilities Act professionally and within district guidelines, carrying out assignments promptly, responding positively to direction, and adhering to Board of Education policies and procedures. Promote positive relationships and communication with students, parents, staff, administrators, and the community, presenting a positive image of the school and district. Support student safety and well-being by taking appropriate precautions and maintaining knowledge of CPR, First Aid, and procedures related to bloodborne pathogens and infectious materials. Collaborate effectively with school personnel, including administrators, faculty, staff, and the Head Coach, to support programs and assigned responsibilities. Manage and oversee fundraising and budget responsibilities, including supervising fundraising activities and maintaining accurate financial records. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality, pursue ongoing professional growth, and perform additional duties as assigned. Assistant Coach Preferred - Bachelors Degree Minimum - 60 College Hours Certificates, Licenses, Registrations-Shall hold certification as required by Missouri law and/or MSHSAA guidelines: Assistant Coach Preferred - Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate Minimum - Valid Missouri Substitute Certificate Appropriate Drivers' License required in the event position requires transport of students.
