Dental Assistant (Orthodontic) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for orthodontic procedures.

• Assist the doctor with patient treatment, positioning instruments, and handling orthodontic appliances. Educate patients on treatment plans, post-procedure care, and oral hygiene.

• Manage patient scheduling and assist with front-office tasks as needed.

• Support dentists and staff with treatment planning, billing, and insurance matters.

• Ensure accurate submission of expenses and invoices.

• Maintain office inventory, including supplies and equipment.

• Address patient and employee concerns professionally.

• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedWV license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Experience as an Orthodontics Assistant

• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program.

• OR -One year of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.

• CPR card.

• Certified Dental Assistant required

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
