Outpatient Dietitian Assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nutritional care and counseling to outpatient hospital patients, assessing individual dietary needs.
• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, review medical records, and develop tailored dietary plans.
• Collaborate with medical staff and food service personnel to ensure accurate diet implementation and patient education.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting dietary interventions as necessary according to clinical guidelines.
• Review and approve cycle menus and diet orders, serving as a resource for foodservice staff in dietary planning and patient nutrition.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Dietetics and/or Nutrition
• Registered Dietitian license in Ohio or eligibility for licensure in Ohio
• Valid Ohio motor vehicle operator's license
• Proof of personal automobile liability insurance
• At least 2 years of inpatient clinical dietitian experience
• Familiarity with nutrition assessment and dietary planning
• Ability to work 40 hours per week
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in a hospital setting

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in hospital outpatient settings
