Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator (EMVO)

Overview Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator (EMVO) — PART-TIME opportunity. Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour. We are hiring drivers to respond to emergency and/or non-emergency transportation requests, delivering high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. Responsibilities Drivers will respond to operation and dispatch requests and use the necessary tools, maps, and addresses to efficiently transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner. Clearly document trip information and details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights. Take pride in maintaining a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts, and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed. Use appropriate communication methods including standard radio transmission codes to effectively respond and route patients and comply with the company\'s information security standards. Operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair, and be able to use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary. Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow drivers and the operations team. Minimum Qualifications State Driver's License High school diploma or equivalent (GED) CPR card Driving record in compliance with company policy Pass Physical Agility Test Some work experience, preferably in healthcare Why Choose AMR?
