Your Daily Role

• Performing thorough assessments of patients, directing necessary diagnostic evaluations, and creating tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions, in concert with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
• Empowering patients and their families through education on wellness, disease prevention, and effective management
• Prescribing medications and various therapies within your practice parameters
• Following up with patients and managing chronic conditions effectively

Educational Background

• Earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licensure and Certifications Needed

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to complete within 90 days)
