Press Machine Operator

You will perform a variety of fabrication tasks within a full-scale production manufacturing operation, including routine and repetitive fabrication, mechanical assembly, and quality assurance processes following established methods, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform multiple fabrication tasks in the assigned team, project, or functional area.
• Work from production schedules, work orders, drawings, blueprints, and written or verbal instructions.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy and integrity while working to close tolerance levels.
• Participate in cell or fabrication projects and assist with process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling.

Essential Skills

• Familiarity and use of equipment such as general and electric hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with CNC, vertical/horizontal mills, set-up, manual Bridgeport mill/lathe.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret them accurately.
• Proficiency in machine operating, fabrication, and general production tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 months of related experience required.
• Aerospace sheet metal fabrication experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of numbers including decimals and fractions.
• Experience with adjustable measuring instruments, calipers, protractors, scale, etc. is strongly preferred.
• Experience with machines such as Trumpf brake, Versun press, HAAS is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is deadline-intensive, with overtime required for most positions. Dress code includes closed-toed shoes, long pants, and t-shirts without any vulgar content. Safety requirements include steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
