Caterpillar is seeking a 1st Shift Assembly Production Manager in Sanford, NC. In this role, you will collaborate with the team, maintain, and improve processes, systems and the manufacturing of the products produced in the facility. Further you will analyze and recommend current and future systems procedures and equipment needs based on manufacturing requirements. What you can look forward to in this role: Report section status and monitors and audits related metrics Drives root cause corrective action projects and continuous improvement Leads section status reporting and monitors / audits section metrics Leads the creation, implementation and training of standard work procedures Manage outbound shipments for multiple customer types, including processing, systems, and required documentation for overseas shipments Monitor and improve shop floor safety, aggressively eliminating unsafe processes Assures fixtures, tooling and processes are followed to meet production schedules Increases production efficiency through continuous improvement and waste elimination A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in: Performance Management: Knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Top Candidates for this position may also have: Supervisory or team lead experience Thorough knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and tools, machine shop operations, equipment and processes Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills Exhibit critical thinking, analytical skills, and initiative Demonstrated knowledge of order to delivery, engineering and/or manufacturing principles Additional Information: The primary location for this position is Sanford, NC. Domestic relocation assistance is not available Sponsorship is not available Summary Pay Range: $89,210.00 - $133,810.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
