Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Department

Overview The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional Registered Nurse reporting to the unit director/manager who utilizes the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within an assigned shift. The ANM provides managerial presence for all shifts and supports the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit. Responsibilities Manage clinical and non‑clinical caregivers and provide input to the director/manager for performance evaluation. Ensure compliance with professional nursing standards, regulatory requirements, policies, processes, and clinical priorities. Coaching, mentoring, and collaborating with staff to deliver quality health care to patients. Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate unit services. Provide managerial presence for all shifts and support unit operations. Required Qualifications Student or graduate of a School of Nursing (BS or BSN). Registered Nurse licensed in Washington at time of hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification. Preferred Qualifications Recent clinical experience in Emergency in an acute care hospital. Charge Nurse / Relief Charge Nurse experience. Leadership experience. Shared Governance experience. Pay Range $62.90 – $99.31 per hour, plus shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
