Position Title Dental Assistant, Clinics Department Clinics Position Summary The School of Dental Medicine at University at Buffalo is seeking a full‑time Dental Assistant. UB Dental is a vital part of the university’s dental school and serves as a teaching facility where students work closely with patients of all ages. We also act as a safety net for the Buffalo‑Niagara region, providing care to thousands of people each year throughout the community. Responsibilities Serve as a chair‑side assistant to licensed dental practitioners and dental students (pre‑doctoral, post‑graduate, and residents) during examination and treatment of patients in all phases of dentistry. Obtain and replenish supplies, file records, and set up operatories for all necessary procedures. Assist in regulatory compliance and stay current with new developments, techniques, and materials, ensuring adherence to proper infection control protocols. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma and at least one year of experience in dental assisting, or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program. Preferred Qualifications CPR certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). Three or more years of dental assisting experience.
