International Sales Account Representative

 

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated International Sales Representative to join our International Sales Team based at our headquarters in Greeley, Colorado. This position serves as a critical link between international customers, overseas offices, and domestic business operations, driving sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction across global markets. The International Sales Representative will be responsible for supporting and expanding key customer relationships, managing international business opportunities, coordinating exports, and executing sales strategies that maximize product value and market share. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of the beef and protein industry, international trade practices, export logistics, and global market dynamics. This role requires a proactive sales professional who can leverage market intelligence, customer insights, and industry knowledge to identify growth opportunities and deliver exceptional customer service.

 

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain shipping volume goals for the outside markets, ensuring that contracts ship and leave from our facilities on time for their contracted time frames customer for U.S.A. and Canada plants/freezers.
• Work with margin management and commercial leadership to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the marketplace.
• Prepare and present results and analytics for the markets in regard to volumes shipped, inventory accumulation, margin, and positioning forward key international items out of all the plants.
• Prepare sales forecasts, market analyses, inside JBS presentations, and performance reports for the outside sales managers.
• Be available to be the U.S. liaison to the customers visiting for plant visits and other JBS entities, accompanying and traveling with them to build a strong customer support for the sales objectives.
• Maintain direct communication between overseas offices and the U.S. offices to streamline and strengthen the sales strategy approach for the markets – accommodating the time difference that comes with the markets.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for outside sales team members, building strong relationships with key decision-makers across the business unit, marketing, product schedulers, claims team, and collections team.
• Utilize product and carcass knowledge to recommend customized programs, product offerings, and value-added solutions that meet customer objectives.
• Monitor domestic and other international market trends, competitive activity, consumer demand, currency fluctuations, and industry developments to identify sales opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Maintain awareness of all departmental accounts and market activity to support team collaboration and overall business success.
• Partner closely with export, logistics, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment, container clearance, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide pricing quotes, negotiate programs, and manage customer-specific pricing structures for the outside sales team based on market conditions and business objectives.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of Asian import requirements, customer specifications, and industry regulations impacting the sale of U.S. beef products.
• Collaborate with field sales and business development teams to identify and convert new business opportunities while moving customers up the value chain.
• Maintain key customer accounts that have U.S. representatives and manage communication between inside and outside sales.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer organizational structures, business strategies, and growth initiatives to identify long-term partnership opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree preferred with a major in one of the following: Agri Business, Meat Science, Business, Marketing, Ag Econ or Animal Science
• Minimum 5 years or more previous meat sales experience or comparable field
• Knowledge of international sales, export processes, and cross-border business operations is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation, relationship management, and business development skills.
• Excellent phone and strong presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail Oriented
• Office Environment
• Must be willing to travel around 15%.
• Microsoft Office applications a must.
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Base salary range of $90,000 - $110,000;
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and

The posted salary range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the compensation that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, tenure, internal equity, market data, and may vary accordingly.
