Description

• Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that aim at meeting both immediate and longstanding cognitive, communication, and swallowing objectives.
• Provide focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical providers, caregivers, and families to create cohesive care plans.
• Offer educational resources for patients and families to support therapeutic progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the therapy journey.
• Keep precise and timely documentation according to the standards set by state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements through continuous learning and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet attained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred attainment of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be secured within 30 days of hiring.
