Job Details Location: Bolivar, TN Duration: 10 Months Rate: $18/hr on 1099 Responsibilities Perform county health department office work in a medical office/clinic setting under general supervision. Endorse all health department services for which each patient may be eligible. Help achieve goals by maintaining a supportive team environment. Register patients accurately and promptly to ensure clinic flow, including obtaining and verifying insurance information, checking immunization status, updating contact information in applicable systems, and eliminating duplicates. Use CHS policies and SOPs to ensure accurate processes across multiple systems. Provide Vital Records services according to policy, procedure, and directives. Review birth and death certificate requests promptly and properly print, document, and receipt each certificate issued. Maintain security of cash handling in accordance with segregation of duties procedures and notify leadership of any issues. Accurately scan and index all required documents into the electronic system within 48 hours. Schedule appointments according to CHS Booking Guidelines. Education, Experience and Qualifications Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school and experience equivalent to two years of full-time customer service delivery and/or clerical/office work. Substitutions Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time customer service delivery and/or clerical/office support work may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis (e.g., one year of full-time work may substitute for one year of the required education). Substitution of Education for Experience: Course work credit from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years (e.g., 45 quarter hours may substitute for one year of the required experience).
