About the Role

TEKsystems is supporting a high-impact infrastructure project at Tesla’s Fremont factory, where a major portion of the facility is being reconfigured to support Tesla Optimus production. We are seeking Structured Cabling Technician III professionals who are hands-on and ready to contribute immediately in a fast-paced, active manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support demo, removal, and rebuild efforts within Tesla’s Fremont factory
• Perform low voltage copper cabling :
  • Pull, terminate, and troubleshoot
• Assist with fiber cabling pulls (foundational experience required)
• Carefully remove and handle cameras, TVs, and NUCs for reuse
  • Project scope includes ~550 cameras + 115 TVs/NUCs
• Work at heights up to 25 feet
• Operate lift systems and flatbeds (certification available in-house)
• Collaborate with Tesla’s internal teams and site leads

Project Breakdown:

• First 6 weeks: Demolition, decommissioning, and cable pulls
• Remaining duration: New build and infrastructure wiring

Must-Have Skills

• Hands-on structured cabling experience (3–5 years guideline, not strict)
• Experience with:
  • Low voltage copper (pull, terminate, troubleshoot)
  • Fiber cable installation (at least foundational)
• Ability to work in large-scale environments
• Experience working at heights and operating lifts/flatbeds
• Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a physically demanding role

Nice-to-Have

• OSHA 10 certification (can be completed during onboarding)
• Prior experience in manufacturing or high-volume facilities

This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
